Vitec Fertilisers (NZ) was initially established to produce high quality Fish and Seaweed fertilisers.  As a practical commercial farmer with an agricultural science and engineering background, Ted Sloan was ideally placed to develop and test superior formulations and processes, to those that were available in Australia and New Zealand. Further developments have led to a wide range of natural products and blends that deliver the unique benefits of fish and kelp based formulations, to commercial farming.

The Vitec Group now has two factories in Australia and one in New Zealand, that process fish and kelp materials from the clean, cold waters of the Southern Ocean.  These factories also process other natural materials and produce liquids from humates, composts, vermicast and other materials that are rich in trace elements, growth promoting substances and other sensitive nutritional factors.

Vitec has a vigorous programme of new product development and testing. The most recent product release being the Vitaliser range which was developed in close co-operation with long time Vitec users.
